Google Analytics is the first thing that I add to a website, so we can determine where to focus our marketing efforts. This week, I got a nice e-mail post from Google for introducing one of the most valuable tools in Analytics – Their Traffic Sources report.
From Google –
When a customer walks into your store, you can greet them by asking, “So how did you find us?” If you want the same insight from customers who visit you online, try the All Traffic report in Google Analytics. It shows you:
• Where your visitors are coming from (search engines, social networks, etc.) • How many of them are new vs. returning • How much time people spend browsing your site Spend your marketing budget wisely
Find out which of your marketing efforts—from holiday newsletters to social media posts—bring the most customers to your site, and use that information to make your marketing plan smarter and more cost-effective.
Try the URL Builder tool to track and compare the success of your marketing initiatives—the results will appear in your All Traffic Report.
